Keep exploring color combinations in visual systems applying to three deliverables.

Kiosk Store

I put the logo design and color explorations I did last week inside the mockup for a more visual comparison. On the one hand, I wanted to continue the colors and layout used for the order function in the app, but at the same time, I wanted it to be appealing as a standalone kiosk store. Considering that the colors used in the app are less contrasting, I chose two different color combinations as the main colors for the kiosk store.

The kiosk screen also carries over the newly chosen color combination. I also considered using different colors for different areas.

App

Based on the user test I conducted last week, I started refining the app's navigation features. The navigation feature is the most essential part of the app. As I mentioned earlier, this part will determine the app's unique features and help it differentiate itself from the usual navigation software. I got essential suggestions and clues in the user test. Based on this, I modified the UI interface and the presentation of information: for example, what kind of bar to use to represent progress and what kind of color block to describe what type of information. After talking to my professor, I will apply the visual language to other parts of the project.

On the other hand, I presented the first version of the app's social media promotion. I continued expanding the poster design elements used in the previous semester and may also consider other formats. Since I have not made much progress on the poster, I will continue exploring the promotion part more.

Visually, I chose to use contrasting colors to add appeal and short language to introduce the app's features. I will continue to communicate with Gorge in terms of language.

Layout

This week, I started the first round of Layout Exploration. This simple exploration not only helps me to think about the components of the visual system but also helps to clarify my thinking and pave the way for the creation of content and sequential editing of the process book later on.
