This week, I talked about doing a final WRAPPING UP.
Kiosk store
After last week, I have 95% of the content done; all that's left is to make many changes based on feedback. I chose green (the brand's primary color) and blue (the accent color) for the store's exterior. I decided to use these two colors after trying a lot of different colors because it's not meant to be an image presence to compete with other fast food brands, but rather a charging station on the go. The store's primary purpose is to increase the passengers' travel experience, not just to sell food.
After that, I continued to modify all the packages, posters, and menus. I have been having trouble making posters. I also needed some help in revising the food and store posters. There is a big difference in style between the two, and in the feedback I received from my teacher last week, it was suggested that my food posters needed to use the right colors and were too fancy. So, I have reworked it. At the same time, I used the pattern I generated to create a bus card and a poster for the kiosk store promotion.
Posters
After that, I made the final changes to the poster. I have been working on the poster revisions since the beginning of the semester. By the time the semester finally ended, I had resolved some of the issues left over from the previous semester but still retained some doubts. In the original program deliverables, I only had one set of posters for the target audience, but after communicating, it was realized that generating a set of posters for people who were not the target audience would be just as valuable. Of course, this would use two different visual languages. I had yet to find a way to reconcile the two different directions and ended the semester with a set of posters that were not aimed at the target audience.
Bus stop stand-up guides
I then modified the bus stop stand-up sign. Brand integration was one of the issues left over from the beginning of the semester. At the start of the semester, I decided to redesign the Muni and Bart logos or incorporate the colors of both brands into the visual system. However, at the end of the semester, in a meeting with the instructor, I realized that the two colors were very traditional and needed to fit the fresh image of the brand. However, the color palate should be widely used in the city. So, I discarded these two colors and chose some similar ones to avoid the overuse of traditional colors and bring freshness at the same time.
As the semester comes to a close, I've included the project work in the process book. While it's currently a rough version, I've organized the overall logical order. Moving forward, my plan for the next semester is to add more details to the process book, ensuring a comprehensive and informative resource for the project.
Color thinking
I've reconsidered the color combinations. I have used four color systems since the beginning of this project. I never found the right colors, so I've experimented with different color combinations. Here are some of my existing color combinations. After talking to professor, I finally focused on the last set of colors. This is the one group of all my color combinations that I am personally happy with. This is the update till now.
